Maximillion (Permanent Sanctuary Resident)

Maximillion came to Revelation Gardens when he was only about four weeks old—so tiny he could fit in one hand and in pretty rough shape.

Because he needed so much care, Max went everywhere with us. He even came to work tucked into a scarf around my neck, where he could stay warm and safe while I worked and still get the attention such a tiny kitten needed.

That fragile little baby blossomed into a beautiful, healthy and very happy boy.

Max is naturally shy and quiet. He isn’t the cat who needs to be in the middle of everything, but he has formed deep attachments to the life and companions he has always known. Today, he lives as part of a close-knit group of seven cats, including Scout and Freya, and is especially bonded with his friend Wesley.

For some cats, finding a new home is the goal. For Max, we’ve come to understand that he already found his home a long time ago.

The familiar rooms, routines, people and feline friends of Revelation Gardens are his world. Asking a shy boy who has spent virtually his entire life here to leave all of that behind wouldn’t necessarily give him something better.

So Max gets to stay.

He can spend his days quietly enjoying the home where a frightened four-week-old kitten once arrived small enough to be carried around in a scarf—and where he grew up surrounded by friends who became his family.

Maximillion is a sanctuary resident and is not currently available for adoption. Sponsoring Max helps provide the food, veterinary care and lifelong security that allow him to remain exactly where he feels safest: home. ❤️
