In Memory of Linda

2/12/1955 – 5/14/2021

Linda Ann (Perchetti) Cotton, 66, of Elkton, MD passed away Friday, May 14, 2021. She was born
in Mineola, Long Island, NY on February 12, 1955 to the late Antoinette (Troccoli) Nicosia and late
John Perchetti and raised on Long Island. Linda graduated from Sachem High School in 1973 and
worked as office manager for an orthodontist group. Linda touched so many souls during her lifelong adventure. She could light up a room with her warm smile and easy laugh, making new friends wherever
she went. Some may have met her during her 25 years of service to Boy Scouts. She served as District Commissioner, Council Training Chair and Wood Badge Leader Trainer in the DelMarVa Council. Others may
remember her as “Cookie”- their bartender, cook, gracious hostess and a fun friend! Still others will remember her as their “Kiwi” or grandma. Everyone who knew Linda has shared one thing in common. They all grew to love this special “Angel-in-Training”. Although in time they may forget specifically what she said or what she did, they will always remember how she made them feel. Linda is survived by her beloved husband and soulmate of 40+ years, Dave Cotton, their son Justin (Joanne) in PA and daughter Kendra (Pete Baird) in SC and grandchildren Layla, Liam, Finnegan and Kol. Also surviving are Linda’s sister Nancy Mustakas (Ted), her brother John Perchetti in NY, and her beloved rescue dog, Griff. A celebration of Linda’s life with family and friends will be held at a later date to be announced.
